Designer Banded Shades

At Bazaar Home Decorating, we love offering clients unique design and innovative features. An incredible collection of window shades, Designer Banded Shades are a dual rolling shade system. Often referred to as zebra blinds, these two-in-one roller shades feature two layers of fabric that shift in position to change the sheer view to privacy, or even room darkening.

  • Two Layers of Fabrics
  • Striped or Geometric Solid Shapes
  • Fabric Layers Shift in Place to Change the Atmosphere
  • Roll Up Out of the Way

A fantastic way to enjoy levels of light control, Hunter Douglas Banded Shades also create a feature wall at the window. With options for geometric shapes or stripes, you can choose the look that fits your style. Select room darkening solid shapes to achieve serious darkness when rotated properly.

The Patterns of Banded Shades

The tradition of zebra blinds brings striped patterns of solid and sheer lines to the window. Hunter Douglas introduced geometric shapes in patterning, with options for angles and curved designs. Available in a variety of patterning, these window shades operate the same, no matter which look you choose. The striped option tends to let in more natural light and outdoor views than the curves or angles.

Operating Zebra Blinds

When it comes to transitioning from natural light and views, to closing off the light and adding privacy, zebra blinds and banded shades work the same. Two fabric layers shift slightly. In one position, the natural light shines through sheer fabrics to bring glowing light into the room, while the backdrop shows glimpses of the landscape. After shifting in place, the light is blocked by solid patterns and privacy is increased. Based on the type of solid fabrics chosen, you can even enjoy room darkening. When you want a wide open view, the entire shade system rolls up and disappears into the headrail at the top of the window.
