Light Filtering & Room Darkening in One!

You love natural light, but too much of it can cause frustration. There are also times when darkness is best, but too much can make you feel as though you’re living in a cave. Introducing…Dual Shades!

  • Two shades in ONE
  • From light filtering to room darkening
  • Shades operate independently

Enjoy a huge range of function, at the same window! If you haven’t discovered the beauty and benefits of dual shades, just wait until you see what they can do. Open your window shades completely, letting the full amount of light in. Close the light filtering portion to diffuse the light for a glowing atmosphere. Or, close the room darkening portion to shield your home from incoming light. There are so many ways to create the ideal environment with the Duolite® system for dual roller shades, honeycomb shades, woven woods, dual sheer shades & more!

Two In One: Honeycomb Shades

It’s a unique design, providing two separate fabric opacities at the same window. The two shades are joined in the middle, capable of adjusting up or down to change the light control, while always providing energy savings at the window. Adjust the light-filtering portion of the shade to cover the entire window. Or, adjust the room darkening portion to cover the entire window. For a balance of both, they can each cover a portion of the window, continuing to adjust up or down until the lighting is just right.

Blackout Roller Shade

This is one of the most common ways to bring the dual shades feature into your home. Two shades operate independent of one another, but they share the same headrail. The front shade is designated as light-filtering, sometimes view-through. That window shades lowered into place to enjoy natural light and landscape views from your home. When light needs to be blocked, or direct rays stopped on one part of the window, the secondary blackout shade can be lowered behind the front shade.

Secondary Honeycomb Shade for Woven Woods

An incredible innovation for woven wood shades, our Provenance collection is available with a secondary honeycomb shade. This is the first time woven woods have been considered energy efficient–which is an amazing option for Wisconsin homeowners. Now, you can enjoy the beauty of textured shades without having to worry about maintaining temperatures in your home. The secondary honeycomb shade can remain raised until it’s needed. Lower it into place to stop the heat and cold from influencing your home’s interior temperatures.
