While many folks may have used Zillow to assist them whey they were interested in buying a property, earlier this year the seven-year-old real estate company debuted a new website earlier this year dedicated to home decor that appears to be following in the footsteps of image-sharing platforms such as Pinterest.
Zillow Digs, which is free to use on the Web and on iPads, allows you to browse photos of kitchens, bathrooms and other parts of a house to gain inspiration for your own interior design.
"Similar to the way that Pinterest operates, users can create, save and share Boards of ideas and decor they like, browse Boards created by others, comment on photos and follow people with similar interests and tastes," explains TechCrunch.
There is, of course, one key feature that sets Zillow Digs apart from the websites that likely inspired it. In addition to showing you images of finished rooms, the platform also gives you an estimate of how much it would likely cost to make similar upgrades to your home. Then, it provides you with a list of architects, designers and contractors who worked on the space and suggests local professionals in your area who may be able to help you implement these visions.
